Where does Laiik ship and, more importantly, how much does it cost?
We offer free ground shipping on orders within the continental US. We also offer faster delivery times at an added charge. If you live in a US state/territory that is outside of the free shipping zone, your rate will be calculated automatically at checkout.
Do you ship internationally?
At the moment, we are unable to ship internationally from our website, but stay tuned for updates as we grow!
How long does shipping take? How fast is your shipping?
After processing your order, we ship products within 1-2 business days of purchase. We use standard UPS or USPS ground shipping which typically takes around 3-5 working days in the continental US. If you need your Laiiks sooner, you can select an expedited shipping method, such as overnight or 2-3 day delivery, for an extra cost at checkout. Any additional shipping costs are nonrefundable.
When will my order ship?
We will send your Laiiks out within 1-2 working days of your purchase.
Where are my Laiiks?
You can track the shipment of your Laiiks by clicking on the tracking number in your order receipt.
Can I cancel or amend my order (e.g. change the delivery address)?
To err is human. You can cancel or amend your order within 24 hours of placing your order by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org or calling us at 1-800-695-2143.
RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
What is your return policy?
You can return or exchange your sandals within 14 days* of the date of delivery. We’ll cover the shipping costs! To receive a full refund or make an exchange, sandals must be returned in the original shoe box (along with the dust bag!) in unworn and undamaged condition. You can even re-use the plastic polymailer to return your sandals (assuming you didn’t eagerly tear it open!)
*HOLIDAY RETURN POLICY: Any products ordered from the Laiik website between 1 December 2019 and 1 January 2020 will be eligible for exchanges and returns until 15 January 2020. Returns postmarked after 15 January 2020 will not eligible for exchanges or refunds.

How do I process returns/exchanges?
We try to keep it as simple as possible! Please email us at email@example.com with your name, order number, and a short description of the reason for return/exchange and we will initiate the process. We’ll respond within 48 hours with instructions and a shipping label you can print at home.
How long do returns/exchanges take?
Once you initiate a return or exchange, we will respond within 48 hours. If you are returning your sandals, we will process your refund after the sandals have arrived at the warehouse. It typically takes around 7-10 working days for the money reach your account. If you are exchanging, we will send your new Laiiks out to you after receiving your sandals at the warehouse.
My foot is unique, how do I find my size?
Every foot is unique, so join the club! Our sandals come in European whole sizes 35-42. If you don't know your European size, you can find the conversion chart here and on each of our product pages.
We recently added narrow versions to a wide selection of our sandals. The narrow sizes are marked with an "N" on our sizing menus. If you have a narrow foot, low instep or are between sizes, the narrow version of our sandals will be perfect for you! If your style is not available in a narrow size, then we suggest you size down one size.
If you have an exceptionally wide or narrow feet, a high instep or no instep at all, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’d be happy to give you more personalized notes on fit for your unique feet.
I absolutely love the Vergi in Helios (as an example), but you don’t have my size left in stock. What can I do?
We make every effort to have your style and size in stock when you’re ready to purchase. However, we do sell out. If you find your size sold out on our site, don’t worry, it means we’ve probably already placed a new order with the factory. Back orders may take up to 8 weeks, so please contact us at email@example.com to find out when to expect your style to be back in stock.
I love the Kiki, but would love to see it in white. Can I make suggestions for a specific color?
Yes. We want to hear from you and know what you like. We can’t make every style in every color but we’re always updating our color story. Please give us feedback and who knows… a white Kiki may show up on your doorstep one day :)
How do I care for my sandals?
Our vegetable-tanned vachetta leather is very unique and free of harmful toxins. We do suggest that you avoid getting your sandals wet as leather has not been treated with any water-proofing chemicals. Once you have worn them for around a week and the oils from your skin begin to sink in, the leather will become more flexible and resistant to the elements. If your sandals become dirty, make sure to wipe dirt away with a dry cloth before applying any leather conditioner or gentle cleanser. Always air dry, but avoid doing so in direct sunlight because the color may change.
What is vegetable-tanned leather and how is it different from other leathers?
In short, vegetable-tanned leather means that each hide is tanned is processed with natural tannins that are free of harmful chemicals. It’s one of the most traditional processes and the only one able to give leather it's unique characteristics. Vegetable-tanning uses only natural tannins found in trees and plants, and does not contain any toxic substances such as ado-dyes, nickel, PCP or chrome VI found in other tanning processes. This means that it’s not only less harmful on the environment, but also each hide is unique and ages beautifully, as the color darkens in the sun to form a rich patina.
I’ve worn my Laiiks so much, I finally have worn down the rubber sole. What can I do? Can I take it to a shoe repair specialist?
Yes! We know your Laiiks will last you a long time, but if you wear them well (as we hope), eventually the thermorubber sole will wear down. Not to worry, a local shoe repair specialist can quite easily re-sole your shoe. We suggest you ask for a 4 millimeter rubber or vibram sole. What is Pelle al Vegetale?
They’re a pretty incredible consortium of Tuscan tanneries. If you don’t believe us, check them out here: http://www.pellealvegetale.it. But in short, Pelle Al Vegetale was founded in 1994 by a small group of Tuscan tanners, all of them operating in Tuscany, who share the same passion for vegetable-tanned leather and the same standards of production. This means that the Consortium acts as a guarantor that each hide is made using only natural tannins and that the productive cycle has a low impact on the environment.
Among other things, it certifies that:
- Raw hides used by their tanneries are the discarded by-products of the food industry. So no animal is killed for its skin.
- Vegetable tanned leather objects can be easily disposed at the end of its life, thanks to its chemical-biological characteristics
- Their tanneries have made huge investments in depuration systems and waste recycling
- Many of the substances used during the tanning process are recovered, recycled and reused in different fields. For example, hair removed from raw hides is transformed into agricultural fertilizer; sludge produced by the depuration plants is reused in the construction field to make bricks (pretty cool!)
- Vegetable tanned leather does not contain any toxic substance.
