About the Ippolita Gladiator Sandal

Named after the queen of the Amazons, the Ippolita is our latest gladiator-esque style sandal, with more of those classic leather straps, but less fuss. Ancient-inspired, but designed for day-to-night dressing, the Ippolita is the simplified gladiator, made with the softest, most supple vegetable-tanned leather we could find.

Fit Notes

The Ippolita gladiator sandal fits true to size. If you find yourself between sizes or have a particularly wide foot, we suggest sizing up. The leather straps, which are soft and supple, and the adjustable buckle allows the shoe to accommodate many different sizes and shapes.

Materials

Handmade in Athens from vegetable tanned Italian leathers and our signature stacked cuoio leather sole with a thin rubber outsole for grip and flexibility. Featuring our new ourobouros-inspired adjustable buckle for the perfect fit.

Beautiful sandals!

I really like these sandals - beautiful design and color, clearly using excellent quality materials. I particularly appreciate the the grippy sole for no slipping when you walk. The only reason I didn't give this five stars is that the comfort could be improved by a thicker or softer sole - its very thin with no arch support, not great for long days on your feet.
